These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lore AI (the "Service"), a software product operated by LoreAI GmbH. The Service enables users to upload or capture documents and other media for optical character recognition ("OCR") and machine translation powered by artificial intelligence models provided by LoreAI and its third-party suppliers (collectively, "AI Models"). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and to comply with all applicable laws. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you (a) are at least the age of majority where you reside and (b) have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with LoreAI. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you satisfy these requirements.
3. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms within the Service or at https://loreai.org/terms and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
4. Description of the Service
General Functionality: The Service enables you to upload, capture, or otherwise provide PDFs (User Inputs), extract text from User Inputs via OCR, and translate extracted text into supported languages.
AI Outputs: The Service returns textual or other outputs derived from the User Inputs ("AI Outputs"). AI Outputs are generated automatically by AI Models and may contain errors, omissions, or other inaccuracies. AI Outputs are provided "as is" for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice (including but not limited to legal, medical, or financial advice).
Updates and Availability: We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time without notice. We make no commitment that any specific feature will continue to be available.
5. User Obligations and Conduct
Do not violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
Do not upload or transmit User Inputs that you do not have the lawful right to process, including copyrighted material, personal data, or confidential information of others.
Do not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable purposes.
Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system or network.
Do not introduce viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent such restriction is expressly prohibited by law.
You are solely responsible for all User Inputs submitted via your account and for compliance with these Terms.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
Ownership: LoreAI and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, the software underlying it, and the LoreAI trademarks. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
User Content License: By submitting User Inputs, you grant LoreAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, reproduce, modify, translate, and otherwise process User Inputs and to generate AI Outputs for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant LoreAI a perpetual and irrevocable license to use the feedback without restriction or compensation.
8. Disclaimers
No Warranty: The Service and AI Outputs are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoreAI disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Accuracy: LoreAI does not warrant that AI Outputs or translations will be accurate, complete, or current. You assume all risk for any reliance on AI Outputs.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoreAI will not be liable for any consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LoreAI and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or connected with (a) your use of the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services ("Third-Party Services"). LoreAI does not endorse or assume responsibility for Third-Party Services. Your use of Third-Party Services is subject to their own terms and policies.
12. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you end immediately.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
14. General Provisions
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision will not constitute a waiver.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and LoreAI regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements on the same subject.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without LoreAI's prior written consent. LoreAI may freely assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms.
